New Vision Inspection System

In order to inspect critical dimensions on needles efficiently, we recently installed a new automatic Nikon VM-150 vision system. The system is driven by the Q5000 software developed by Metronics.
The system has a magnification of up to 1,750 power. It is capable of automatically inspecting length, geometry, and tip radius, at random or at 100%.
The left screen shows the inspection results while the right screen shows a picture of the inspected needle.
The inspection results are exported to a spreadsheet and can be evaluated statistically.
In this case, needles are lined up 100 in a single row.
